mahanaim farm -6 heritage turkey hatching eggs

We are located in beautiful Camp, Arkansas. Our little farm is named Mahaniam (it means two camps).
We are homesteaders (some what self sufficient self maintaining family farm).
So the money we earn here goes to preserve our little farm and our way of life for ourselves and our children.
We have four children, 50 plus Chickens, Duck, Geese, Quail, Doves, Peacocks, Turkeys, Pigeons, Dairy Goats, a herd of Jacob Sheep, a pair of Pot Belly Pig, 3 Dogs,3 spoiled horses and a herd of cats and a bunch of wild life that comes in for free food.
That said if you are in the same boat let me know and I will put some extra goodies in the box if you are a teacher this also applies. Home school family's and 4-H children and parents this applies to you as well.
Your personal hatch rate will depend on many different things, such as temperature, turnings, humidity and such.
Because of this no one can guarantee a real hatch rate;
Our chickens (male and female) roam free during the day at night we put them up to bed with all the love any parent would.
We say a blessing over them to G-d for the joy they have brought to our lives as well as eggs and meat. They are spoiled well fed and overly loved.
In our current flock all of our birds are healthy and happy and they are great layers. Thus the reason for us selling some off.
If you raise chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, emu or any other sort of birds and you want to swap eggs with me,
just email me at ****@yahoo.com and place eggs in the into the subject box....
Please feel free to send all your questions to this email as well....
Each Egg will be Bubble wrapped and carefully boxed for safe arrival to you!
If you want them sent over night it is a bit more costly but I would be happy to find out the amount for you upon request.
One more thing we except all donations to our farm, equipment, feed, livestock, seed if you have it, most likely we need it
Be Blessed Mahanaim Farm and Ranch
So here is what you get.... You will get 6 Heritage Turkey eggs, maybe more depends on the girls.
I will also add a few chicken eggs so you have some little peeps to teach the turkeys how to live.
I do this as so many people hatch the turkeys and than they die, mostly because turkeys can be really dumb and not eat or drink.
I find putting the baby chicks in with them gives them a great start and socializes them to be a bit tamer as well.
All our turkeys are hand tame, you can play with them and I have no fear of my kids being around them.
Any turkey being or acting in an aggressive manner is dinner for us.
I do not breed aggressive birds.
We have Royal Palms, Red Phoenix,Pencilled Red Palm Turkeys,Pencilled Palm Turkeys.
You could end up with any of these ( please note at this time I do not have all their photos up).
No choice on these what ever girls lay that day is what you get.
A little bit about heritage turkeys:
are defined by the historic, range-based production system in which they are raised.
Turkeys must meet all of the following criteria to qualify as a
Naturally mating: the Heritage Turkey must be reproduced and genetically maintained through
natural mating, with expected fertility rates of 70-80%. This means that turkeys marketed as
Heritage must be the result of naturally mating pars of both grandparent and parent stock.
Long productive outdoor lifespan: the Heritage Turkey must have a long productive lifespan.
Breeding hens are commonly productive for 5-7 years and breeding toms for 3-5 years.
Heritage Turkey must also have a genetic make-up that enables them to withstand the
environmental rigors of outdoor production systems.
Slow growth rate: the Heritage Turkey must have a slow to moderate rate of growth. Today s
heritage turkeys reach a marketable weight in about 28 weeks, giving the birds time to develop a
strong skeletal structure and healthy organs prior to building muscle mass.
This growth rate is identical to that of the commercial varieties of the first half of the 20
