GE GN-300 Pulse Programmer/Controller
For sale here is a GN-300 Pulse Programmer/GN Controller according to the label on the back, whatever that is. I cannot give you any specs or other particulars on this piece other than to say that there is a large GE motherboard crammed with an assortment of circuit boards. A few slots are empty but to my eye nothing is conspicuous in its absence. Power is supplied to this module by one of the other power supply units, so it is completely untested and sold without warranty. If I thought more would happen than just the fans coming on I would try to power it up, but that seems like a waste of time as there is nothing in any of the other components to indicate power. The label on the back has the number 881-010600 on it, not sure if that is a model number or what. There is another number on a different label, 631-005800. I have no idea why they used two labels with different numbers, as otherwise they seem to convey the same information.
I have bought and sold enough NMR equipment to know something about the players in the category, and I cannot say that I have ever heard of GE being a participant. I was hoping that I could open these components up and find another manufacturer s name inside, but even the circuit boards are GE-branded, so I guess they must have made them in-house instead of contracting with another manufacturer and then just putting their logo on it. I did find a few DAC boards in this unit that were marked Nic, which I believe would probably be a Nicolet product, but most of the boards were GE branded. So perhaps they collaborated with Nicolet or perhaps they just bought an off-the-rack DAC card rather than trying to engineer one from scratch.
