Matheson tri-gas NMH2-500 hydrogen generator

Matheson Tri-Gas NMH2-500 Hydrogen Generator
Hydrogen is used in chromatography both as a carrier
gas and as a fuel for flame ionization detectors (FID)
or flame photometric detectors (FPD). It is either delivered
in classical gas cylinders or produced on site.
On-site production ensures a continuous supply and
allows for small total hydrogen volumes in the lab.
The HiQhydrogen generator is a no-maintenance
device with innovative membrane technology. Its
advanced dual-column drying system automatically
removes residual moisture from the hydrogen produced.
The column materials are also regenerated
automatically, and in the final purification not even a
desiccant cartridge is needed.
For the electrolytic dissociation process, the HiQhydrogen
generator requires no caustic chemical solutions. Instead,
it uses harmless deionized water to produce a reliable,
continuous output of 6.0 hydrogen (> 99.9999% pure). System
operating status and diagnostic data appear on a user-friendly digital display.
With a small footprint of 23 x 35 cm (8 5?8 x 13 3?8) the HiQhydrogen generator saves space. It is
compatible to all major voltages and power supplies.

Where the use of cylinder hydrogen is restricted, the HiQhydrogen generator is safe to operate,
due to its small contained volume (< 40 ml). In case of an internal error, for example, the unit is
put on standby by an auto-shut-off procedure. Selectable, multiple alarms alert to unwanted shifts
in operating conditions such as low water level, poor water quality, low pressure (leak) and power
An optional cascading flow control provides larger capacity flows by connecting multiple units
within one single system. Hydrogen flow and water quality are monitored by continuous LCD indication.
The gas delivery pressure is indicated by LCD and can be adjusted manually via a membrane
control pad. A cable interface permits remote computer monitoring of all functions.
HiQno-maintenance hydrogen generators
HiQno-maintenance hydrogen generators with remote control
The remote control function permits on/off control and review of the operating status of the H2
generator from a remote location. A handheld external remote control unit is available as an option.
Both options work through a 15-connector cable interface.
HiQno-maintenance hydrogen generators with cascading flow
The cascading flow option allows a minimum of two units and a maximum of 32 units to be connected
to work in parallel and to deliver a large flow of hydrogen. Each individual unit is set up for
cascading flow operation and is equipped with an external RS485 interface cable to coordinate the
functions of individual generators. All units operating within a large flow system must be configured
with the cascading flow option.
