The Calibug HDTV has a tough extruded aluminum case with a neoprene orange jacket. A blue LED status light at the right side end tells you when its working.

Our CALIBUG HDTV is a unique USB device and a dedicated custom application of our popular NTSC Video Reference CD and DVD, plus all the features your need for DV and HDTV testing too. We've taken the best features of those programs, and combined it with USB flash memory technology to create a pocket portable Video Test and Multimedia Reference generator that will plug into any PC or Laptop and turn it into a high quality Video Signal Reference and Multimedia Tester. Like our CD ROM, The PC or Laptop used needs to have a DVI (HD) or NTSC Composite or S-Video (Y/C) output for use with broadcast video equipment and other professional video gear. Many PC's and Laptops Today have this video output feature built right in. Of course, if you need to add broadcast quality video to a PC or Laptop, we have solutions for you!

NOTE: SVGA Cards must support 1280x720 resolution for HDTV 720p and 1920x1080 resolution for HDTV 1080i and have a DVI-I connector or direct HDMI or Y/Pr/Pb component video output. For computers without an HDMI output, HDTV digital video can be obtained using our optional DVI-I to HDTV converter. If your PC or laptop already has an S-video or composite NTSC video output, it is ready to run for standard definition (SD) NTSC video tests.
This adapter (and the Calibug) works with most modern PC video Cards that have an SVGA, DVI, or NTSC/PAL/ Y-C output (for low resolution SD tests)
* NVIDIA GeForce series of video cards GT6200LE through 9800GTX, plus many others.
* ATI series of video cards Radeon, Fire GL and Pro, plus many others
* Other video cards - if it has a DVI output and supports 1280x720 resolution for HDTV 720p and 1920x1080 resolution for HDTV 1080i it will likely work. The Calibug will also work with older video cards, using SVGA and the NTSC/PAL/Y-C output for standard definition tests.

CALIBUG HDTV's NTSC Reference is an interactive program for use with Windows ME, 2000, XP. Windows Vista and Windows 7 wil work but only with the Professional or Ultimate versions. "home" . All screens are fully detailed and many contain actual video and waveforms that have been imported using computer video interfaces. It has an easy to use browser that keeps track of where you've been as well as provide complete support for contents, index and glossary.
