Tek-Temp RK-19 Rack Mount Chiller
For sale- a Tek-Temp RK-19 Rack Mount Chiller. Lots of chillers out there (I have a few listed myself), not many of them are rack mountable. Specifically this is an RK-19/2500/R1/.FS. The 2500 in there indicates it is a 2500 BTU version of the RK-19. It is wired for 115VAC, 10 amps, and uses R134A refrigerant. Serial number is L10998801R1 if that tells you anything. Physical condition is good/used; won t pass for new but probably looks as good as it needs to.
When I first powered this up it did very little other than make bad noises, so I turned it over to a commercial refrigeration guy. He put a fresh charge of Freon in, and now it seems to cool pretty good. Pretty good, but perhaps not as good as it should. When he was messing with it the set point was at 18 degrees C. His observation was that it would cycle down to about 13 degrees C before backing off and coasting back up to 18. That seems like a bit of a spread to me.
